Commercial Kitchen Cleaning Planned Around Your Service

WDC Facility Services provides commercial kitchen cleaning in Melbourne for restaurants, cafes, hotels, caterers, schools and other food-service operations. We plan the work around your service and prep times, kitchen layout and food safety requirements, with the scope and exclusions agreed in writing before work starts.

Professional cleaning removes built-up grease, food residue and grime from agreed areas that daily cleaning can miss. It supports, but does not replace, your food safety plan, staff hygiene practices or specialist services such as exhaust duct cleaning and pest control.

Our Commercial Kitchen Cleaning Services

Commercial kitchens differ in size, equipment and menu. Choose the area you want covered and we will confirm surfaces, equipment, products, timing and restricted areas with your head chef or manager before quoting. If you also run a dining room, see our restaurant cleaning service, or read our commercial kitchen cleaning guide.

Cooking Equipment Exteriors

We clean the exteriors of agreed equipment such as ranges, grills, fryers, ovens, refrigeration units and dishwashers, removing grease, carbonised residue and food splatter with products suited to each surface. Your staff must switch off, cool and make equipment safe before we start.

Internal cleaning of fryers, ovens, grills and other food-contact parts is only included if agreed in writing. Equipment servicing and repairs are not part of cleaning.

Benches, Walls and Splashbacks

Stainless steel benches, shelving, splashbacks, wall tiles and accessible wall surfaces are degreased and wiped down from the top down. We select products and cloths to suit stainless steel, tile and laminate finishes, and clean hand basins, sinks and taps as agreed.

Where disinfection is specified, surfaces are cleaned first and the approved product is used as labelled, including contact time.

Kitchen Floors and Drains

Kitchen floors build up grease and food scraps, which can make them slippery. We degrease and scrub or steam-clean accessible hard floors, including edges, coving and mats, as agreed. Wet-floor signs and barriers are used while floors dry.

Accessible floor drains and grates can be cleaned at the surface. Blocked drains, grease trap pump-outs and plumbing work are specialist tasks outside routine cleaning.

Cool Rooms and Dry Stores

We can clean accessible shelving, floors, walls, door seals and the exteriors of refrigeration units in cool rooms and dry stores, as agreed. Your staff should clear or protect stock beforehand and manage temperature control while we work.

Refrigeration components such as evaporator coils are only cleaned if agreed, and servicing stays with your refrigeration technician.

Dishwashing and Prep Areas

Dish pit areas, prep benches, sinks, splash walls, racks and shelving are degreased and cleaned as agreed. Dishwasher exteriors are cleaned, while descaling and internal servicing follow the manufacturer’s instructions and are only included if agreed.

Bins can be emptied and cleaned. Food waste, grease and oil follow your own disposal arrangements.

Deep cleaning and degreasing of commercial breakroom sinks and countertops.

Deep Cleaning and Pre-Inspection Cleans

Scheduled deep cleans tackle built-up grease on accessible walls, tiles, shelving, light fittings and the sides and backs of equipment that routine cleaning does not reach. We can also prepare the kitchen ahead of a council inspection or audit, to the standard your own procedures require.

Moving heavy equipment needs your approval and safe access. Exhaust canopy interiors, ducts and fans are specialist services and are not assumed in a standard scope.

They provide reliable services and take our feedback; they served us for 2 years now. This time, they thoroughly cleaned our office carpets that hadn't been washed for years, even removing stains we thought were impossible to get out. Great job! Thank you!

A Clear Cleaning Scope for Your Kitchen

A reliable kitchen clean starts with knowing what is included, what is excluded and who is responsible for each task. We coordinate access, service times and zone priorities with your head chef or manager, then check completed work against the agreed scope.

Tell us about your equipment, approved products, cleaning schedules and alarm and key arrangements so these can be considered before quoting.

Kitchen-Specific Task List

We define zones, equipment, surfaces and frequency in writing, including the boundary between our cleaning and your own food safety routines.

Degreasing Methods and Products

We match tools and degreasers to stainless steel, tiles and sealed floors, use products as labelled and review your approved-chemical requirements before work begins.

Planned Access and Timing

Cleaning times, keys, alarms and restricted areas are agreed with your manager so work fits around service, deliveries and prep.

Checks and Communication

Completed work is checked against the agreed tasks. Damage, equipment issues and anything needing your attention are reported to your kitchen contact.

Our Commercial Kitchen Cleaning Process

Our process keeps cleaning aligned with your service. We agree the task list with your kitchen, complete the scheduled work and report issues that need your team’s attention, such as damaged surfaces or equipment faults.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about scope, scheduling and responsibilities for commercial kitchen cleaning in Melbourne.

What is included in commercial kitchen cleaning?

The agreed scope can cover equipment exteriors, benches, walls and splashbacks, floors, cool rooms and dry stores, dish and prep areas, and periodic deep cleans. Your quote should list each zone, task, frequency and exclusion so everyone knows what is covered.

It depends on cooking volume, menu, fryer and grill use, and how well your daily routines keep up. Many kitchens schedule regular professional deep cleans on top of daily cleaning. We help you choose a frequency when scoping the service, alongside your own food safety plan.

Accessible canopy exteriors can be cleaned as agreed. Canopy interiors, ducts, fans and grease trap servicing are specialist tasks that are not included unless separately assessed and agreed.

We can deep clean to prepare for an inspection or audit, to the standard in your food safety procedures. We cannot guarantee an inspection outcome, because compliance depends on your whole food safety system, not only cleaning.

Deep cleaning usually needs equipment switched off and cooled and areas cleared, so it is normally scheduled after service, overnight or on closed days. Tell us your operating hours and access arrangements and we will confirm a suitable schedule, subject to availability.

Price depends on kitchen size, equipment, level of grease build-up, cleaning frequency and access times, plus any deep clean or pre-inspection work. Share your kitchen details so we can assess the scope and provide an itemised quote rather than an unsupported flat rate.
